The Humanitarian Support Foundation VA office supported the Miles in Martinsville challenge series by running in the Helgramite Hustle 5 K mud run to benefit the YMCA of Martinsville and Henry County on August 8, 2015. This program helps to support the local YMCA by providing funds for various things including providing scholarships for YMCA memberships and day care services as well as funding programs like Activate Martinsville. The Run spans 3.2 miles and includes 18 obstacles, 10 mud pits, and a water slide. The Humanitarian Support Foundation VA office had 8 employees in the race and several friends and family also joined into help support this great cause. The Humanitarian Support Foundation VA office looks forward to future opportunities to promote healthy living and support local programs.
