Humanitarian Support Foundation is supporting our community Back 2 School event again this year, along with area churches. A donation was given towards the effort to help prepare area children for back to school. The goal of the program is to provide a framework for community collaboration in preparing students materially, physically and spiritually for the new school year. The children attending will receive a new backpack with school supplies, new shoes, clothing, and a haircut if desired. Samaritan’s Feet International is the organization behind the blessing of the new shoes and feet washing for the children, as well as the gift of encouragement. Therefore, the volunteers hope to pass on the spirit of hope and empowerment to the children and families. Several area churches are hosting the events, however employee volunteers will work at the Mercy Crossing Church location.
